Saturday 14 February 2015

It has been a busy start to the year with all these and more being completed in January. Christmas was lovely but went by all too quickly. After a few days off and away and a whole lot of Birthday celebrations I will be properly back to work in the not quite so freezing studio next week.

My work is back in the amazing Lion Street store in Rye. A visit to Rye is needed I think!

... and made lampshades!
Got to a print room a couple of weeks ago and screen printed a load of wrapping paper with this design which was fun- I do miss really basic messing about printing.

Making these box frames was always something I intended to do for the show but I can't believe I actually got round to making them. Really enjoyed it and have found some similar boxes to hopefully make some more.

Swops!

So Made London was a success I think! Just taking me a few days to get back to normal and realising that I no longer have to do everything at 100 miles an hour. I thought I would show some lovely swops I made at the end of the weekend. I was so excited to finally have a beautiful ring made by super cool lady Rachel Eardley ( racheleardley.com) a warbler for a wren I think was a fair swop. Also this AMAZING broach and tiny peg dolls by Rachel Larkins ( rachellarkins.com) which I walked past all weekend but never imagined I would go home with. It made the train journey home ( standing all the way ) much more bearable knowing I had such precious things in my bag.

Also I would like to thank my lovely show neighbours- Lisa ( pettibone.co.uk) Kirsty( kirstyadams.com) and Sally ( sallyweatherill.co.uk) For being inspirational ladies and for putting up with my terrible lateness. It was a little daunting being surrounded by such accomplished crafts people but I really had a great time and everyone was so friendly and supportive, I just wish that I had had more time to look around all the different stands.
